Reading!

When our friend Orit told us that she started to read to her daughter Shachar at 3 or 4 months, it seemed a little strange to us, but recently we're also finding that Mikael actually sort of enjoys the whole thing. He likes the pages and the way that they turn and the pictures are definitely worth staring at. We're not sure that some of the more subtle issues of plot and characterization are completely sinking in, but we've been focusing on a single book (The Hungry Caterpiller) in hopes that repetition will help him get the idea.
