On the trip up North with Liya's friends, we went on a hike through Nahal Majarsa The water came up to Mikael's neck in places and he was scared but also very brave about it.

A hike with Liya's friends
Also back in June, Mikael and I went for a weekend of camping with Liya's friends in the North. Here, we have just arrived at the camp ground and we are waiting for everyone else to arrive. Itamar and Yoavie and Mikael and I decided to head out to a play ground to enjoy the end of the day before everyone got down to the serious work of barbequeing.

Riding the train
I have no idea why Mikael and I were riding the train together in June last year. I think we were riding with Liya, who took the picture, but I'm not sure.

First day of Gan
On the very first day of Gan, way back when, I came with Mikael. They have a morning meeting every day at Gan, and here we are participating with all the parents and other kids.

Sand hill cranes
When Mikael and I were visiting Tampa in September, these Sand Hill Cranes (thanks to WhatBird) were also visiting the neighborhood. We saw them almost every day as we headed out to our adventures. We gave them names (that I know forget, sorry) and had long discussions about which was the mommy and which was the daddy crane.

MOSI
Again from the trip back in September. Mikael and I went to MOSI together and enjoyed the dinosaur statues, the super-powered magnetic crane, and the mock supermarket. Going back to MOSI every 6 months is a real experience in watching how the affordances of the world are so different at different ages.

A travelling petting zoo
Mikael and I were at the Gan Ha Ir mall way back in September when we came across this travelling petting zoo. They had hamsters and rabbits and turtles and also a huge boa constrictor.

Here are some pictures from my last visit to Tampa with Mikael that somehow don't seem to have made it to the blog. We are at the zoo with Ilan.

funny conversation
בעיברית : עופר ליה ומיכאל שוכבים במיטה. היד של עופר מונחת על ליה והוא נרדם.
Translation:
Opher, Liya and Mikael are lying in bed. Opher's hand is resting on Liya and he is sleeping.
Mikael (a little worried): Mommy, dad put his hand on you.
Mommy Liya: Yes. That's because he loves me.
Mikael (looking at Daddy Opher): But Mommy, he fell asleep in the middle of being in love with you.
