Bed time fun

There is nothing more consistent in Mikael's day than the fun-filled, bouncy, playful mood that comes over him after his bath. It's strongest before we get the pajamas on him, but even once he's back in his clothes, he can bounce around on the bed for a very long time. In these two images (sorry about the quality, me and my cell phone camera are still working on our relationship) we see Mikael and Liya in the process of 'negotiating' when exactly Tigger will stop bouncing and actually go to bed.

 

 

Tractor!

Mikael and I took a bike ride tonight. By that I mean, we both took our bikes and rode together all the way down to Reiness and then up to Gan Ruth and around back home. For anyone who isn't up on Tel Aviv Geography, here is our route.

I want to point out that this is the first time Mikael and I have taken a bike ride together, so you can just imagine how exciting it was for me. Mikael was great about everything, and especially about being careful and crossing the streets together.

Just past Gan Ruth, we came upon a Tractor sitting silently in a large sandbox that had once been half the street. We were naturally very excited to be able to explore the tractor from so close up, so that's what we did.

Megablocks before bed

While we have a certain stanard bed-time ritual, we occasionally make exceptions. Here Mikael decided he needed to make a few more fixes to his megablocks masterpiece between the bath and the pajamas. While this is definitely not standard, sometimes flexibility can be the better part of consistent parenting.

 

After swim class

The new swim class in Herzeliya is in the back yard of the woman who runs it. She has toys set out, but until know we've only come in the rain and the dark. A couple of Fridays ago we were finally there on a sunny day and lots of other kids were also there and after class we hung out and played on the toys.

עופר שיכנע את ההורים של נוגה להצטרף לחוג שחייה שלנו בהרצליה. הנוכחות של נוגה הוציאה ממיכאל תעוזה ויכולות חדשות.
ואפשר להוסיף- שעכשיו ממש בעודי כותבת שורות אלה בשתיים עשרה בלילה, נוגה ישנה עם מיכאל במיטה - ההורים שלה יצאו לבלות והשאירו אותה כאן למסיבת פיג'מות
