Mayan Shahar went to Indigo to pick Mikael up a couple of days ago and took some great pictures of Mikael playing on the slide.
This was edited. When I first wrote it I said that Mayan Shahar had gone with Liya to the gan, but she was helping us out while Liya was working and picked up Mikael on her own.
Liya and Havva and Maayan Shachar all went together to pick up Mikael from day care and enjoyed the atmosphere there so much they hung around and played with him there for a while. It really is a nice and mellow place. They said, by the way, that Mikael was busy talking up a storm all afternoon. Mikael has been more and more talkative and we're excited (Liya) or concerned (Opher) that pretty soon the talking will coalesce into words and Mikael will be able to tell us exaclty what he's thinking and what he wants.
Yoavi and his parents went for lunch at Brasserie and then came to visit. Liya took a beautiful video of Mikael sitting on the bimba looking on nonplussed while Yoav was really trying to explain something important to him (which I thought I'd lost but is now found so you can enjoy it).
We took a long walk through the woods which are in beautiful flower right now. At some point, Maayan Shahar stopped us and said, let's just put Mikael down in the grass so he can play. It was a great idea. He had such a good time! It made us want to live just up the street from some beautiful woods that are always in flower, but we'll make do with having grandparents there.
These were also taken at Asaf and Ziva's house, although I'm not sure who took them. They are sweet, though.
Eventually, of course, the cloth diaper he was using for modesty got left completely aside. Here he is now with nothing to hide. I'm sure that when my son is a celebrity, he will regret the fact that I posted that last one on the internet.
Some expert (there are so many of them, and I can never keep them straight) told us that it was healthy physically and psychologically for Mikael to spend more time nude. I didn't want you to be worried about his physical and psychological health, so here are some nice naked shots of our son.
While Mikael was visiting Givat Ada, Maayan-Shahar took a lot of pictures while I'll post separately. However, these portraits seemed to belong together.
