Inidgo day care meets for Sukkoth

לכבוד סוכות ותחילת השנה אירגנה הגננת של מיכאל מפגש לכל המשפחות בגינה קהילתית.
ניגנו שירים, הרימו כוסית ועמית הגדול נתן למיכאל לתקוע בשופר, קצת הצליח לו. לאחר מכן הלכו כל הילדים לשחק במיתקנים.מיכאל הצטרף לנועם, משמאל ולנוגה, מימינו. שתיהן חברות שלו מהגן.

In celebration of Sukkoth and the beginning of the year, our day care organized a meeting for all the families in a public park. We played songs, toasted toasts, and Amit (big Amit) let Mikael blow on the shofar. Mikael even almost succeeded. Afterwards all the kids went to play in the playground. Mikael joined Noam (on his left) and Noga (on his right). They are all good friends from Indigo.

איתמר שולה ויואבי באו לבקר בת"א והלכנו איתם לגן דובנוב. מיכאל ויואבי סוף סוף מתחילים להראות סוג של תקשורת בינהם אחרי שאנחנו, ההורים עמלים על זה כל כך הרבה זמן.

Itamar and Shula and Yoavi came to visit Tel Aviv and we went with them to Gan Dubnov. Mikael and Yoavi finally are starting to show a sort of communication. It's nice to see after we, the parents, have been pushing them togeher so hard!

למיכאל יש תחביב חדש - לטפס על מגלשות ולעשות גשר לכל ילד שרוצה להתגלש ומוכן לשתף איתו פעולה.

Mikael has a new hobby. He climbs on to the slide and makes a bridge for all the children who want to slide and are willing to cooperate with him.

עופר ומיכאל נוסעים כל יום שלישי לחוג שחייה. ביום שלישי לפני הנסיעה של עופר הם באו אלינו לביקור אחרי השחייה. מיכאל ויעלי ישבו ועיינו בספרים.

Every Tuesday, Opher and Mikael go to swim class. The Tuesday before Opher left, they came with Yaeli and her dad to our house for a social call after class. Yaeli and Mikael sat and read books together.

עופר לא נמצא כבר שבוע. יום שישי הגיע ואני ומיכאל נותרנו ללא תוכניות מיוחדות. פצחנו בשנת אחר צהריים טובה ואחר כך יצאנו לריצה. מיכאל, כהזדהות, נעל את נעלי הספורט החדשות שלו. אני רצתי עם העגלה מרחוב גורדון עד שדרות נורדאו ומיכאל בזמן הזה הספיק לאכול חצי פיתה עם גבינה ואחר כך המשיך עם מנגו. כשסיימתי את הריצה מיכאל ירד מהעגלה והצטרף אלי. הוא בחר לעצור ליד בית כנסת ולהיכנס פנימה להציץ במתפללי השבת. לי יש פוביה מבתי כנסת והתעקשתי להישאר בחוץ, אבל מיכאל היה אמיץ ונכנס להציץ בלעדי. הוא נתפס לכמה ילדים שהיו לבושים חגיגי ושיחק איתם. אחרי כן המשכנו הבייתה לארוחת ערב ואמבטיה. וסיימנו בפירוק גרעיני תירס מקלחים מיובשים, הכנת פופקורן וצפייה בסרט האהוב על מיכאל - מונסטרס בע"מ

Opher has been gone for a week. On Friday, Mikael and I were left with now special plans. We engaged ourselves in a refreshing afernoon nap, and then afterwards we went out running. Mikael, in a show of solidarity, put on his new running shoes. I ran with the stroller from Gordon all the way to Nordau and Mikael spent the time finishing off half a pita with cheese and then a mango. When I finished running, Mikael got out of the stroller and joined me in running. He decided to stop by a synagogue and go in to peek at the Sabbath worshippers. I have synagogophobia and refused to join him. Mikael was super-brave and went to look inside all on his own. He found some children inside dressed in the "sunday clothes" and had fun playing with them. AFter that, we went hom for dinner and a bath. We finished the evening by picking the seeds off of some dried corn, made popcorn, and watched Mikael's favorite movie: Monster's Inc.

בבוקר שבת שירי הגיעה לבקר ולעזור. מיכאל שמח על האורחת ומיד רץ להכין לה חביתות במטבח החדש שלו.

On Saturday morning, Shiri came to visit and to help out. Mikael was very happy to have a guess and immediately ran off to make her an omelet in his new kitchen.

סוכות במבשרת, עופר נרדם על הספה, מיכאל הדביק לעצמו מדבקות על הפרצוף, גיא היה חביב ואני ומיכאל שיחקנו בצעצועים של יואל ומילכה - שיגרת מבשרת רגילה

Sukkoth in Mevasseret: Opher falls asleep on the couch, Mikael puts stickers on his face, Gai was cheerful and friendly, and Mikael and I play with Yoel and Milka's toys. The normal Mevasseret routine.

אני ומיה נסענו אחר צהריים של יום חמישי לסידורים והשארנו את הילדים אצל סבתא חוה.

אמא שלי הכניסה את כל החבורה לאמבטיה החדשה והמשופצת שלה שיכולה להכיל לפחות 4 ילדים אם לא יותר. בתמונות למעלה מיכאל ורומי התינוקת, בתמונה למטה מיכאל ויותם. בסרטים המצונזרים נמצאת גם שקד

Maya and I went on errands on Thursday and left the kids with Savta Hava. My mother put the entire gang into the new, highly renovated bath that can easily accomodate at least four children, if not more. In these pictures, Mikael and baby Romi. In the picture below: Mikael and Yotam. In the movies, which have been worked over by the censors, we see Shaked as well.

ראש השנה אצל גילי ואסף ברעות

Rosh Hashanna at Gili and Asaf in Reut

בראש השנה התאספו כולם אצל גילי ואסף ( בן דוד שלי) ברעות. אחרי הארוחה יצאו כל הילדים לחצר לארטיק וסיפור. אני הקראתי סיפור ליותם ולמיכאל ובסוף כולם הוציאו את כל האנרגיה במשחק תופסת עם כללים לא ברורים

On Rosh Hashana, we all met at Gili and Asaf (my cousin's) place in Reut. After the meal, all the kids went outside for a popsicle and a story. I read the story to Yotam and Mikael and afterwards every expended their energy in a game of tag whose rules seemed a little vague.

התמונות האלה הן מאוגוסט, לפני שמיכאל ועופר נסעו לטמפה ואני נסעתי לברלין.

מיכאל ואני נסענו לגיבעת עדה להיפרד מסבתא חוה, סבא רמי ומעיין שחר. באוגוסט הם עוד היו בשיא השיפוצים וגרו בקראוון ליד הבית שלהם. אחרי בריכה שאמא שלי אירגנה להם בחוץ, השתלטו שלושת הזאטוטים על המיטה של סבא וסבתא והתפנקו בבמבה

These pictures are from August, before Mikael and Opher flew to Tampa and I flew to Berlin. Mikael and I went to Givat Ada to say our farewells to Savta Havva, Saba Rami and Mayan Shahar. In August, they were still fixing up the house and they were staying in a trailer they'd set up in the yard. After the baths my mother organized for them outside, the three little tikes took over Saba and Savta's bed and feasted on Bamba.
